SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA - Enthusiasts and fanatics of Korean pop culture are now excited for the upcoming KCON Music Festival, the world's largest Korean Culture Convention, that will be held in the Middle East on March 25, 2016.

CJ E&M Corporation, the entertainment department of CJ conglomerate, is going to host the event, the company announced on Wednesday.

"Considering it's our first time in the Middle East, an emerging market, we'll try to take into account the area's heritage, culture and industries at the upcoming KCON," CJ E&M said as stated in the article of The Korea Times.

Commemorating its fifth year, the Korean culture convention will hold a concert, which will be taking place at the Du Arena, Abu Dhabi's biggest outdoor venue. It aims to have a wider audience this year.

Tapping the Middle East market for the first time after economic sanctions had been lifted, KCON 2016 Abu Dhabi will be anticipated to give Korean corporations the opportunities to be with the Koreans based in the Middle East.

As part of CJ E&M goals to be included in the world's Top 10 culture companies by the year 2020, the largest Korean Culture Convention also wants the rest of the world to listen to Korean pop culture music, eat Korean food, watch Korean films and programs, Business Korea reports.

After the event in Abu Dhabi, the next KCON 2016 will be at Makuhari Messe, Japan's largest convention center, the same place where Tokyo Motor Show is happening. It will run for two days on April 9 and 10 with two concerts this year "from one-day convention with one concert " because of 2015's attendee and participant satisfaction.

The Korean Culture Convention had been already launched in several venues, including Los Angeles, New Jersey, New York and Saitama, Japan for the past years.
