South Korean actress Lee Min Ji, 27, denied rumors about the involvement of her name in the prostitution ring, an issue currently headlining the news in the country. The issue had 10 actresses as well as musicians named as allegedly involved. Rumors are on social media, including Lee Min Ji, reported The Korea Times.

Such name Lee Min Ji could be the same name as the South Korean actress Lee Min Ji, but another person. "I knew my name is so common but it's such a bad coincidence," Lee took to her Twitter account on Friday to speak up about the rumor. "Why are brokers' names and men who are related to the prostitution ring not unveiled, by the way?"

Soompi likewise quoted Lee Min Ji tweeting on March 24, "Oh my goodness. I am very satisfied with my face and all things about myself. Honestly, don't I look completely unrelated to sponsorship news?"

Lee started her acting career in 2011 with short films, and rose to fame with "Reply 1988" popular drama which ended in January.

South Korean actress Lee Min Ji added that the name mentioned does not refer to Miss Korea Lee Min Ji 2015 as well.

An unofficial list having names of celebrities, actresses or K-pop, allegedly involved in the prostitution ring has been rumored and is recently spreading on social networking site. Since the name of South Korean actress Lee Min Ji was included in it, people though it is either the actress who played Jang Mi Ok in "Reply 1988" tvN series or even the Miss Korea Lee Min Ji.

As in other countries, issues about the involvement of celebrities in prostitution ring come up from time to time in South Korea. Meanwhile, Miss Korea 2015 Lee Min Ji, 24, is from Sungshin Women's University majoring in vocals, who took over the title in July from last year's Miss Korea Kim Seo Yeon.
