US wearable maker Fitbit launched its latest model "Fitbit Charge 2" in Korea on Wednesday.

Fitbit Charge 2 is a recreation of the brand's previous best selling product "Charge HR," however, with enhanced design and functions- giving it a sleek new look as well as innovative health and fitness features that are based on its proprietary PurePulse technology, that gauges the wearer's heartbeat, breathing and fitness level in real time.

The wearable has a display screen that is four times larger than its predecessor Charge HR. This allows the wearer see all information in one screen. Just as HR did, this Charge 2 uses heart rate variability data to guide wearer's breathing by continuously monitoring heart rate to find good rhythm.

It also checks the wearer's inner oxygen level and offers recommended breathing for maximum fitness results.

You can also complete a two minute or five-minute session for a moment of relaxation, or use it to cool down after a workout.

Fitbit Charge 2 helps track 17 specific workouts, features automatic sleep tracking, has multi-sport modes, routinely measures cardio fitness level all while promising five days of usage on a single charge.

It also features a smartwatch style notification, which is the norm for any fitness band these days. It displays calls, texts and calendar alerts from your stock Android or iOS apps, but third parties aren't supported - that means, no Facebook, no Twitter and no Snapchat.

Fitbit's Chief Business Officer Woody Scal said "We've maintained our focus on health and fitness with Charge 2 and it reflects our deep understanding of what consumers want in wearable device, with a sleek new look, and a fitness experience that is more engaging, motivating and personal than ever".

In addition to these appealing features, the Charge 2 has swappable bands, meaning they can be styled in a variety of colors and materials according to the occasion.

Price for the smart band is 199,000 won ($178). The product can be found at online shopping channels in Korea, such as 11Street, Auction, Gmarket, Interpark, Coupang and more.
