It seems like Samsung is getting ready to launch Galaxy C9, a new handset from its C-series. The company is yet to reveal the exact release date of the handset, but its launch is imminent as it has received the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification.

In fact, it goes without saying that the release of the device is not far off as the device has been spotted on GeekBench and an Antutu listing, plus a Zauba import entry and those have given us the key specifications of the Galaxy C9.

The device will come with a 6 inch FullHD display with 920x1080 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, a 6GB RAM, and dual 16MP cameras, according to the benchmarking sites. It is also expected to run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system.

One important feature missing was the battery capacity. FCC, being the good sport that it is, has now revealed the number in its specification papers and at 4,000mAh, it is not giving grounds for complaints. The purpose of the single screenshot it released was to reveal the e-label, but most people tend to find the battery capacity a little more important.

It is also reported that the device will share several features with the recently releases Galaxy C5, which is exclusive to Chinese market, but no specific features have been mentioned.

Galaxy C5 sports a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with 1,920×1,080 pixels, powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, and run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system.

It has a 32/64GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), a 4GB RAM, a 16MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture, an 8MP front-snapper with f/1.9 aperture, and a 2,600mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

It is still not known if Samsung will make the device exclusive to Chinese market like the first two handsets from the C-series or release in other markets too.

With the preliminary step fulfilled, it could be safely assumed that the Galaxy C9 is getting even closer to launch, though it's still unclear when exactly that will happen. Thus, we recommend you to take all of these details with a pinch of salt, until official details are spilled by Samsung.
