A "Book Settings" app in the Windows Store has consumers sitting up and taking notice.

Rumors that Samsung will be coming out with a worthy heir to the Galaxy TabPro have been swirling for a while now. However, a new app at the Windows Store strongly hints at a separate, and still unannounced, Galaxy Book.

The app was spotted by the eagle-eyed MSPoweruser, who also pointed out that Samsung holds a trademark for the Galaxy Book name. The trademark apparently covers a wide area. Aside from smartphones and tablets, the trademark also references software for various uses, like instant messaging, schedule sharing and organizing digital reading content.

Based on the description, installing the "Book Settings" app would include features like Battery Life Extender, Pattern Log-in, Pen, Screen Mode, User Manual and other settings. There's also an explanation stating that it's an application for Galaxy Book. It also comes with a disclaimer stating that it might not function well on another device.

The description also hints that the Galaxy Book will arrive with a crisp and ultra-detailed AMOLED screen and Samsung's vaunted S Pen stylus.

It has been said that the Galaxy Book would rival Apple's premium tablet and pave the way for Samsung's emergence as a player in the high-end tablet market. But the inclusion of a stylus could be an indication that the device is more of an ordinary tablet, and not the anticipated TabPro.

Fortunately for Samsung supporters, it appears they might not have to wait long before an announcement is made. But it won't be happening at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) as the South Korean giant has opted not to launch any flagship devices at the event.

This is quite a deviation from the norm. However, Samsung does have a big press event scheduled on February 26 in Barcelona. The fact that it's being held right before MWC 2017 has not escaped the attention of consumers. A large number of this group are of the opinion that Samsung might reveal a new tablet or wearable tech then.
