Samsung is considering the idea of building a home appliances plant in the United States in order to create and make home appliances. This has been announced by a high-ranking official of the said company.

According to them, they are in the process of doing interval talks to build home appliances plant there. This is also a part of the company's plan to secure and keep a mid-to-long-term strategic foothold. Samsung will make the details regarding this latest venture public once everything will be finalized.

This move by Samsung emanated from the US. President Donald Trump's calls for non-American manufacturers to invest more in his country. But last Monday, the director of the White House National Trade Council stepped up some criticisms of Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics saying that their fewer U.S. plants have something to do with trade cheating.

Because of this, LG Electronics just announced that it will build a washing machine factory in the said country particularly in Tennessee. But for Samsung, the company has to make a decision first in order to formally announce its final stance on building plants in the U.S. as per Korea Times.

It can be recalled that Samsung is the one supplying the American market with refrigerators, washing machines and TVs all manufactured at its plants in Mexico. But the company is running a chip plant in the United States.

Meanwhile, Samsung just unveiled its new three-door FlexWash laundry machine and this features a combination of top and front loads. This new product will help Samsung continue its innovation in the washer industry which is now divided into the drum types and the top-load.

The company also added that user experiences are as important and essential as innovation and technological progress. Samsung is confident as well that the latest washing machine will lead to a paradigm shift in the current washing industry.

Apart from its plan of building washing machine plant in the United States, Samsung also added an internet of things features to the latest product. This will help users to control and monitor the laundry process with the use of their smartphones.
